Venus Fly Trap

The Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant native to the temperate and subtropical wetlands of North Carolina and South Carolina, on the East Coast of the United States. To care for a Venus flytrap, provide lots of direct sunlight and high humidity, but only use distilled or rainwater for watering.  Keep the soil damp at all times.  The tray method is popular: place the pot in a tray with water for 30-45 minutes, then let the soil dry slightly before repeating.
