Bamburanta is an evergreen perennial AKA the "never-never plant" that is native to the tropical forests of Brazil. In its native habitat, it forms bushes almost 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. As a houseplant, it is somewhat smaller and has an upright and clumping habit, and grows up to 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. The plant prefers bright, indirect light and a moist, well-drained mix of humus or all-purpose potting mix with orchid bark and perlite. Distilled water or filtered water is recommended, and it should be watered when the top inch of the soil feels dry. It requires medium to high humidity and temperatures between 60°F and 85°F. A humidifier may be required. It is intolerant of drafts, direct sunlight, and temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
